Architectural Design
From small remodels of family rooms or kitchens, to master suite additions, and ground up mountain cabins, attention to detail is paramount. Typical services provide for any type of building project.
Not sure what you want, or what is even allowable by your local governing code? I offer smaller design presentation packets that help explore design possibilities for your particular situation, in a concise presentation, without committing to full architectural design fees. In some cases these may provide enough information to have a contractor build what you need without any more obligations. Or at the very least, get you started in the right direction for full design services
STANDARD DESIGN SERVICES
Programming Assess the client’s wants and needs and discuss options. Many times, new ideas are brought to the table to maximize space, codes and design. For example, a client may want a master bath, but with Bill’s assistance come to realize a closet, bedroom extension and deck are all possible without much additional cost.
Schematic Design Visualize the designs showing the relationships of all elements. Brings the programming discussion to life. Building codes are reviewed to ensure feasibility of designs.
Design Development Design dimensions are added to the schematic such as windows, materials and lighting.
Construction Documentation The designs are elevated to construction standards. The Construction Document can be provided to contractors for bids and submitted to city for permitting. It becomes a legal document between contractor and client through the building process.
Construction Administration Periodic site visits to ensure building is following design. Provide design adjustments for unforeseen building needs, particularly relevant for remodels where demolition work reveals new challenges (i.e. electrical panel hid behind the wall).
